Two newspaper articles from '94/'95

Probably in the near future one more new Structure Seven song will be published, so keep an eye on our web and/or Facebook site.

For our Dutch reading fans, these are 2 newspaper articles from around '94/'95.
The term "Techno Metal" was used then, but people thought that it was a mix of Techno House and Heavy Metal, which was obviously and certainly not the case. 😁

We just had recorded our 3rd or 4th demo, I have lost count, and it was indeed our best demo, in every aspect; songwriting, lyrics, musical, sound, etc.
We also tended to play difficult parts, because we loved to explore our limits, but also to keep it interesting for ourselves as well. That's where the term "Techno" came from. 😉

"The Singles" is a collection of songs of Structure Seven. Some of them have been published before, but have been remixed and mastered.
In the near future one song will probably be added.

"Wondering Why" was never released before, because we didn't finish the arrangement, but now it is!

Unknown Perimeters Remix

Around 2013 we recorded our demo CD "Unknown Perimeters" with Ron van Dulmen.
All together we spent about 4 days in Ron’s studio, about one of which for the guitar parts. Not that I want to acquit myself, or not, but ... I can assure you that I did not like it at all to get everything done under high time pressure.
I neglected, so I felt the need to correct that.

The fact that it is my great passion to create progressive music, plus the fact that I got the demo recordings, of which the drum, bass and vocal parts have CD-worthy quality, was a nice starting point for my improve mixing and mastering skills, with occasional advice and action from a number of friends and colleagues.

Maybe in a while I think it could be even better, but for now I am very happy with this total remix with many new guitar parts.

Trapped in the Shadowland - Revisited

Trapped in the Shadowland is an old song from Synergy aka Eyestare, the band we were part of in the early '90's.
The song was originally recorded in 2013 in the studio of Ron van Dulmen, Eefde (NL).
In December 2018 guitar tracks have been replaced and/or added, and the footage of our "Unknown Perimeters" demo CD release show on the 30st of March 2014 in De Hip in Deventer (NL) were used in this video.

Recently the recordings of "Trip", the opening song of our demo-CD "Unknown Perimeters", were remixed and remastered.
The images of the studio sessions at Verdulleme Recordings in December 2013, and in particular of the performance in De Hip on 30th of March 2014, are included in this video.

This video was shot by Frank Wassink (moving camera) during the very first show we did at De Hip in Deventer (NL), on March 30th 2014.
The audio was recorded in the spring of 2016, and the mix of that audio was finally done in September 2017.
